Motorola Briefly Teases Signature 27, Then Pulls the Page

Motorola launched its first Signature phone earlier this year. Slim design, flagship hardware, and a distinct look defined that model. Now the company appears to be lining up a successor. A short-lived website teaser named “Signature 27” has given the first official hint.

A Reddit user first noticed the prompt. Android Authority later confirmed the same pop-up on Motorola’s site. Visitors who opened the homepage saw a sign-up box. The form asked for a name and email address. In return, Motorola offered updates on the upcoming handset.

The artwork stayed deliberately dark. It showed a close-up of a rear camera module. Branding read “Signature 27.” The line underneath said, “A new perspective is coming.” Users could register or close the window. Shortly afterward, the pop-up vanished.

The same prompt also appeared for visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom. That wider rollout matters. The first Signature never received a full official U.S. launch. Seeing the teaser on the American site therefore raises the chance of a stateside release this time. Motorola has not confirmed any market list.

Another clue sat in the same window. A “Crystals by Swarovski” mark appeared to belong with the teaser. The logo itself failed to load correctly. Even so, the association is familiar. Motorola recently dressed the original Signature and other models, including Razr units in its Brilliant collection, with Swarovski crystals. A crystal edition of Signature 27 would fit that pattern. Specs and pricing for any such variant remain unannounced.

The current Signature still sets the baseline. Motorola introduced it in India in January as the first phone in the new premium line. It uses a 6.8-inch pOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 6,200 nits. Thickness is 6.99 mm. Weight is 186 grams.

Inside sits a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. Memory goes up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Storage reaches 1TB of UFS 4.1. The camera set uses 50-megapixel sensors throughout: a main camera with optical image stabilization, a 3x periscope telephoto, an ultrawide unit, and a 50-megapixel front camera.

Power comes from a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery. Wired charging is rated at 90W. Wireless charging is rated at 50W. The phone also supports 10W wireless and 5W wired reverse charging.

No official specifications for Signature 27 have appeared. Launch timing is also unconfirmed. The vanished teaser still serves one purpose. It shows Motorola is already building interest in the next Signature, months after the first model arrived. More detail will likely follow once the company puts a finished page back online.
