Huawei Nova 16 SE Gets Official Launch Date in China
Huawei has finally confirmed the launch date for the Nova 16 SE in China. The new smartphone will debut at the company’s August event. As expected, the phone arrives soon.
The launch is set for August 5. The event will start at 2:30 pm local time, which is 12 pm IST. Huawei has already opened pre-reservations on its Vmall platform in China.
Design and Colour Options Teased
Official teasers show the phone in one colour so far. It is called Cherry Blossom Snow Sky. The design draws clear inspiration from the Honor Power 2. It also shares visual elements with the iPhone 17 Pro series.
A large horizontal camera island sits on the rear. Three camera rings form a triangular layout. On the front, the phone features a centred hole-punch display with slim bezels.
Meanwhile, live images have already leaked online. These photos reveal the handset in black, orange and white colour options. The leaks add further excitement ahead of the official reveal.
Expected Specifications
The Huawei Nova 16 SE is expected to pack a Kirin 8020 chipset. It may also carry a large 8,500mAh battery. Early reports suggest 66W fast charging support.
The display is rumoured to be a 6.84-inch LTPS panel. It could offer 1.5K resolution and peak brightness up to 8,000 nits. For cameras, the phone may feature a 50-megapixel primary rear shooter with Red Maple imaging technology.
Past leaks indicated a price of around CNY 2,000, which is roughly Rs. 28,000. Huawei has confirmed only the 256GB storage variant so far. Additional colours and configurations are yet to be announced.
The Nova 16 SE is shaping up to be an interesting mid-range offering. Its large battery, modern design and expected performance could attract many buyers in China.
