Huawei FreeBuds 7 Launch in China With ANC and Dual Wireless Links
Huawei has launched the FreeBuds 7 true wireless earphones in China. The new earbuds include active noise cancellation. They also support spatial audio, Hi-Res audio, and lossless playback. Connectivity covers Bluetooth 6.0 and NearLink E2.0, also called StarFlash. Each earbud carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Price and colours
Huawei priced the FreeBuds 7 at CNY 949, or about Rs 11,000. Buyers can choose Moonlight White, Midsummer Purple, Starry Night Black, or Sunlight Orange.
Design and audio features
The FreeBuds 7 use a semi-in-ear design. Their frequency response ranges from 14Hz to 48kHz. Active noise cancellation cuts background sound. A transparency mode lets users hear nearby noise while music plays. The earphones also support EQ presets, spatial audio, Hi-Res audio, and HWA.
Three microphones work with bone-conduction pickup to reduce call noise. The earbuds have an IP55 rating. The charging case does not carry an IP rating. Touch controls handle playback and related commands.
Connectivity and software
The FreeBuds 7 connect over Bluetooth 6.0. They also use Huawei’s NearLink E2.0 StarFlash link. Dual-device pairing is supported. HarmonyOS Multi-Device Connection lets them switch among compatible Huawei phones and tablets. Extra features include a voice assistant, Smart Broadcast, and AI recording transcription.
Battery and size
Each earbud holds a 48mAh battery. The case holds a 460mAh battery. The case supports USB Type-C charging and wireless charging. Huawei claims up to seven hours of music playback on one charge with noise cancellation off. With the case, total playback reaches up to 33 hours with ANC on. With ANC off, total playback with the case is rated at up to 42 hours.
Each earbud measures 30.32 x 18.76 x 20.26mm and weighs about 4.3g. The case measures 45.50 x 56.20 x 22.90mm and weighs about 33g.
