Samsung Delays Launch of New Clip-On Galaxy Buds Able Earbuds

Samsung plans to expand its popular Galaxy Buds lineup with a fresh open-ear design. The company is developing its first clip-on true wireless earphones, known as the Galaxy Buds Able or possibly Galaxy Buds On. However, the tech giant has pushed back the release date.

Industry sources now expect the earbuds to arrive in late September or October. This timing places the launch early in the fourth quarter of 2026. Samsung originally considered unveiling the product at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22. Yet, after reviewing the product’s readiness and overall schedule, the company decided on a separate release later this year.

What Makes the Galaxy Buds Able Different

Unlike traditional Galaxy Buds that fit inside the ear canal, the new model will feature a clip-on open-ear design. This style wraps gently around the outside of the ear. As a result, users can enjoy music or take calls while staying aware of their surroundings. The design works especially well for running, exercising, or commuting.

Samsung continues to refine the product. Moreover, reports about the final name still vary. Some sources refer to it as Galaxy Buds Able, while others suggest Galaxy Buds On. The company has not yet confirmed the official retail name.
