Vivo X500 Pro Leaks Point to Strong Upgrades
Vivo launched the X300 Pro in China and select global markets in October last year. Now the company appears to be developing the X500 Pro as its possible successor. Official details remain unavailable. Meanwhile, fresh information continues to surface online.
A recent leak claims the Vivo X500 Pro will use a 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600-series chipset. The phone could also feature a BOE display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Leak Details on Display and Chipset
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared information on Weibo. The post, translated from Chinese, outlined display and design elements of an upcoming smartphone. The tipster did not name the device directly. However, observers believe the details refer to the Vivo X500 Pro. According to the leak, the phone will run on a 2nm MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
The purported Vivo X500 Pro is expected to carry a 6.37-inch flat LTPO display. Resolution is said to exceed 1.5K. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate. Vivo is reportedly testing an engineering sample with a BOE OLED panel. This panel uses next-generation light-emitting material.
In addition, Vivo is said to adopt LIPO display packaging. This approach enables narrow bezels on all four sides. The handset is tipped to retain Vivo’s iconic centrally positioned circular rear camera module. The design resembles previous X-series models. A metal frame is also expected.
Alignment with Earlier Reports
These newly leaked details match earlier rumors. The phone is expected to launch officially in China in September. It should bring upgrades over the Vivo X300 Pro.
Vivo introduced the X300 Pro in India in November last year. The single 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant carried a price of Rs. 1,09,999. That model featured a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It used a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset paired with 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The rear camera setup included a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 sensor, a 200-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle JN1 sensor. A 50-megapixel front camera completed the optics. The Indian version offered a 6,510mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support. The Chinese version used the same battery capacity.
